How to Celebrate ‘National Ghostbusters Day’ in Rockford

Today's the day, it's National Ghostbusters Day! Did you even know that was a thing?

Probably not, considering it was proclaimed not too long ago.

According to PR Newswire, Sony Pictures proclaimed that today is National Ghostbusters Day last week.

Why? Because 32 years ago today is when the original Ghostbusters movie was released in theaters, June 8, 1984.

While we have to wait until July 15 for the all-female movie to come to theaters, today you can go see the original right here in Rockford.

Grab your proton packs and head to AMC Showplace Rockford 16 or AMC Showplace Machesney Park 14 and you can see the original Ghostbusters on the big screen at 2 p.m. or 7 p.m. tonight.
