SnapChat's latest update has a new feature called SnapMap. This feature show yours and your friends exact location with surprising precision.

We tested this new feature on the Steve Shannon Show with a few of our SnapChat friends and it was a bit scary just how precise the map is. For many, especially parents, this is information you DO NOT want everybody knowing. The problem is that when you update the app, the SnapMap feature is automatically turned on. And as soon as you open the app, everyone can see exactly where you are, even when you just leave the app open in the background.

What isn't easy to discover is how to turn the SnapMap feature off and put yourself, in what SnapChat calls, Ghost Mode. There are actually 3 different settings for this feature, including shutting it off. The video below demonstrates how to adjust SnapMaps settings.
