At-home remedies for when you're too itchy to go to the store.

I'm having trouble writing this because I'm so itchy, but I'll power through.

Sunday morning, I woke up and felt a little itchy but figured I was outside for the last two days so there had to be a few bites on my arm.

No, no, not a few bites on my arm. I have 13 bits on my arm and back, including two that are hard to believe came from bugs. Seriously, it looks like a horse bit me.

And, because it's the Monday after a holiday weekend, I didn't have extra time to stop and buy anti-itch cream at the store on my way to work. But, I did find two lists of bug bite remedies online that might be able to help me.

Women's Health has a list of 9 Genius Way to Relieve Bug Bites and I might actually be able to use some of these without leaving my desk!

  1. Essential Oils
  2. Honey
  3. Milk and Water
  4. Lemon or Lime Juice
  5. Toothpaste
  6. Basil
  7. Ice
  8. Tea Bags
  9. Vinegar

Everyday Health has a list, too, which included many of the tactics above, but also says you can try aloe vera, an aspirin paste, Listerine and hand sanitizer.

If you have any remedies, send them my way!
