IL Man Under Arrest For Attempted Murder Over Chips Ahoy

Some people don't like to share.

A 23-year-old man in Decatur is being held on $75,000 bond in Macon County Jail for attempting to murder his 49-year-old female roommate after she ate three of his Chips Ahoy cookies for breakfast.

After she admitted eating the cookies, she was in the bathroom and heard her roommate, Allen Hall, threaten to kill her because of it. She thought he was joking (as most of us would), and apparently that is what provoked him to act on his anger.

He attacked her, attempting to strangle and kill her. She was saved by her husband and landlord.

So many questions after hearing this story.

Why does this 23-year-old man live with a married 49-year-old?

Why does he love cookies so much that he would attempt to kill his roommate?
