IL Woman Crashes; Drives With Tree Trunk Wedged In Grille

This is not the kind of hood ornament you'd want on your car.

According to the Roselle Police Department Facebook page, "a Roselle police officer saw a car driving southbound on Roselle Road with a 15-foot tree embedded in the front grill of the car."

That's a lot of lumber right there! How do you not notice a giant tree lodged in your grill?

Later on police mention, "the Roselle officer arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol."

Oh, that might be the reason why he didn't notice the tree lodged in his grill.

How does this happen? I never understood drinking and driving and how people put themselves in such a bad position.

There are so many different transportation routes these days. From Uber to Lyft there really is no reason to drink and drive. If you've had too much to drink, call for a ride home. If you don't, you might end up driving around with a 15-foot tree lodged in the grill of your car...or worse.
