This November the ballot may have an additional item for Illinoisans to vote on. It's the issue dealing with pot.

If the state's senate gets their way Illinois voters will be checking "yes" or "no" to legalizing pot.

WGN reports that the "State Senate Committee passed a proposal Wednesday to put the non-binding question on the November ballot."

That question is whether or not marijuana should get the same taxes and regulations as our state does with alcohol.

It has yet to get the Senate's OK to be on the ballot, but it looks like it just may.

What do you think about this?

Should our state legalize pot?
