Fear The Walking Dead returned to TV last night and while the stars of that show are running from the undead in Mexico what would happen if a zombie apocalypse broke out in the U.S.?

Better yet, which state would be better equipped to handle a zombie apocalypse? According to Estately, New York would be the first to go, but Illinois wouldn't last very long either.

Using five different categories to rank all 50 states, Estately ranked Illinois 44th in gun owners per capita, 30th in percentage of those buried versus cremated and 34th in percentage of population that is physically active.

So what exactly is Estately saying about people from Illinois? My guess is we're fat, lazy, don't own enough guns and we bury our loved ones instead of having them cremated.

We also rank 30th in our interest in the zombie media genre and when you add all that together, we're primed to get wiped out if a zombie attack occurs.

What should you do as Illinois person? Move to Alaska. Estately says Alaska, followed by Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota are the five most likely states to survive a zombie apocalypse.
