Illinois Pastor May Be in Possession Of the Real-Life Santa’s Remains

As of today (December 13th), we are officially counting down the 12 days until Christmas.

With that in mind, I'd like to start this article to the tune of the "12 Days of Christmas;"

On the first day of Christmas carbon dating gave to me, an incite into Santa's history.

According to Newser, a relic-collecting reverend who lives just outside of Chicago claims to have a piece of jolly old St. Nick's pelvic bone.

Sounds like someone's been sipping on a little too much spiked eggnog, right? But, according to scientists, he might actually have a case; after all, who wants to lie about something like that and end up on Santa's naughty list?

To find out, scientists conducted a radiocarbon dating of the bone that supposedly belongs to Santa (and by Santa, I really mean the real Saint Nick who left coins in the shoes of poor people during the third century) and discovered that, if anything, it's at least the right age.

That doesn't really say a lot, does it? Other scientists are on your side and say that bones belonging to Father Christmas can be found all over the world; which is why they plan on conducting a DNA test to confirm that all of the bones belong to the same person.
