If you follow me on any facet of social media, you may have noticed that I haven't spoken out on the events that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend; and to be honest, I probably won't.

For me, personally, it's sometimes better to mourn, rejoice, be amused, feel astonished, or by confused by any given situation in private. (Sometimes I wish others would do the same.)

And it's not that I don't have an opinion, I just like not having the burden and negativity of politics to deal with. So, I choose to stay out of it.

Which is why this article is strictly meant to inform you that the Illinois senate has passed a measure calling for neo-Nazi groups to be categorized as terrorist organizations.

According to the Chicago Tribune, sponsoring Senator Don Harmon says,

It is vital that we stand in total opposition to the hatred, bigotry and violence displayed by the white nationalist and neo-Nazi groups in Charlottesville this past weekend. They are the heirs to the Ku Klux Klan and the Nazis. We fought two bloody wars in opposition to their ideologies. We must continue to fight those same twisted ideologies today.

Do you agree with this decision? Are there other groups that should also be considered?
