A pizza joint that had to close after a fire nearly destroyed its building might be on the move.

In case you missed it, Capri nearly burned to the ground in October of 2022.

Since then, the restaurant has remained closed. There was talk of a temporary location for the beloved restaurant but as far as I know, it has not yet come to fruition.

So over a year after the Capri fire, rumors swirled yesterday that the family might be moving out of their longtime spot downtown at 313 East State Street and heading to Loves Park.

If that's the case, it would be a major loss for the area. Not only is it one of the downtown area's biggest attractions it's also one of the best, if not the very best restaurant around.

If Capri does relocate to Loves Park, where do they end up setting up shop? Interestingly, someone on Reddit had a really good idea.

Remember Marco's? It wasn't around for very long but I did manage to stop by and try their pizza. It was fine but...

I also tried Capri and well, that was like, pretty darn good.

If I had to choose one, it would be Capri all day every day. So what I'm saying is, if Marco's needed to go out of business so Capri could come back, I'll take it.
