Just in time for St. Patrick's Day too.

If you're planning on taking in all of the St. Patty's Day shenanigans the weekend of March 15, 16 and 17 please find a designated driver.

At this point, you'd expect that most people would be wise to that idea but then again if everyone understood you can't drive drunk, the Illinois State Police wouldn't send out a press release letting everyone know they'll be conducting safety checks St. Patrick's Day weekend.

From the Daily Herald:

'The ISP has zero tolerance for impaired driving in Illinois,' according to the release. 'Officers working this detail will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.'

It's crazy to think people still do this but it happens still. When ride-sharing is as easy and accessible as it is, there's no reason to drive drunk.
