JC Penney in Rockford to Start Selling Stuff for a Penny

If it's been a while since you've stepped into JC Penney, like since your mom used to call it Penney's (or as I like to call it Jacques Penne) and she'd leave you in her 1984 Monte Carlo in front of the store while she'd go shopping; then maybe it's time to plan a visit.  And yes, that actually happened to me as a kid.

Starting today, February 28th, you can buy certain things for only a penny.  It's all part of their new promotion, "Get Your Penney's Worth."  JC Penney's hope is to attract new customers with big discounts  on some of their most popular items from brands like Arizona and JC Penney Home.

Something to keep in mind- this promotion isn't offered everyday, although I can tell you that you should take advantage right now because it's happening all week,  and the items that will be offered for a penny, some of which will also be under a buy one; get one for a penny promotion, will not be announced in advance. By doing this, the retailer hopes you'll stop in regularly to see what's being offered.

Well, then. It looks like I know what I'm doing with my extra day tomorrow- making a trip to CherryVale Mall do to some shopping at Penney's.
