Students in Hong Kong who are entering the first grade are given twenty seconds to solve this puzzle. Can you?

When it comes to education in China, they really do things differently. For example, you have to take an admissions test to get into the first grade. Unlike in the U.S., where I think you just had to successfully pass nap time, recess, learn your ABCs and have a good handle on reading in order to move on from kindergarten.

This is one of the questions on the test and students are only given 20 seconds to answer it. I'm willing to give you more than that. What's the answer?

Answer: 87. It's upside down. The numbers go 86, 87 (the answer), 88, 89, 90, 91—but from right to left because it's upside down.
