Lays ‘Do Us A Flavor’ Picked A Winner

Back in July, we got the chance to taste test the four potential new Lays potato chip flavors. Today a winner was announced.

Sweet Lenny and I took our unofficial Lays "Do Us A Flavor" taste test a few months ago, Lenny's favorite was the Bacon Mac & Cheese chips, I kinda like the Cappuccino ones, I think I might've been the only one.

Neither of our picks won the contest. The winner is...Wasabi Ginger. Which to me, tasted like my mouth was in flames that would never go out. The rest of the country must have more eclectic taste buds than I have.

Wasabi Ginger was submitted by Meneko Spigner McBeth, a nurse from New Jersey. She will win either $1 million or 1 percent of the new chips' first year of sales, whichever is bigger.

The other three flavor submitters get hooked up with $50,000, not too bad.
