Local American Idol Hopeful, Alex Fischbach, Auditions Tonight [VIDEOS]

We watched one of our local American Idol contestants get a golden ticket a few weeks ago, will Alex Fischbach join Gina Venier in Hollywood?

Alex is from Morrison and auditioned this season for American Idol in Minneapolis. His audition will be on the show's episode tonight (Wednesday, January 21), he already knows his fate since the audition was months ago, but we have to wait to see if J.Lo, Harry & Keith decide he's got what it takes.

While Alex couldn't tell me whether he's made it to the next round of Idol, he did take some time to tell me about the audition process and his musical influences, including The Beatles, John Mayer and Ed Sheeran.

This isn't Alex's first time auditioning for Idol, he tried out three years ago and got all the way to the judges audition, but was told to come back in a few years, which he did and we're hoping to see a lot of him this season.
