It would be magical if we all got to lose a few pounds before we were in a wedding, but chances are you won't actually need a smaller size dress.

Maybe I'm wrong, but, in my experience when ordering a bridesmaid dress you should always order larger. Because the dress probably isn't going to fit perfectly anyway.

If you order it too large, then you get to have it altered to your specific size. Michelle-sized dresses always fit me better than a 16 in this designer or an 8 in another.

The real problem with ordering a dress that ends up being too small is having to figure out a way for you to alter it. It generally means piecing the dress together with scraps from another bridesmaid's dress, or ordering more of the fabric to add-on and that can get very very expensive. So don't feel bad ordering up, it'll make it more custom fitting when you get it to your size.
