This tip might not be under your complete control, but if you can achieve it you will have a better walk down the aisle.

It's kind of awkward to be a bridesmaid or a groomsmen when those two minutes arrive for your to walk down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony. People are staring at you, and you are wearing fancy clothes.

You probably don't know all the people in the crowd, and you are thinking about your back fat creeping out of the dress straps. Just me? No way do I believe I'm the only one wondering if that's happening.

Then there's the fact that you're in heels that you've never worn before, so you might trip. On top of all that, you're walking down the aisle with a guy who might've never met before.

Well you can tackle that, or at least attempt to. Meet the guy who you're walking down the aisle with in advance if you can, and try to have a conversation or two. Sure, it's only a few minutes walking with him but it's a nice feeling to take the awkward away if you know each other.

Also, if you can convince the bride... make sure you get the most fun groomsmen! I definitely have had a few of those with me... makes it way better than the weirdos.
