Around this time last year, my son Tanner was visiting Europe. Because I knew I'd probably never get the chance to travel overseas myself, I sent along a stuffed monkey for him to take on an amazing adventure. Every day, when he had internet access, he would send me a photo of the monkey by the London Bridge, Big Ben, and the Eiffel Tower. After the Eiffel Tower, the photos stopped coming in. It wasn't until my son got back to the states that he told me that he lost my monkey in Paris.

I was devastated,  but there was hope that someone found my monkey and having the time of their life with it. You always see these stories on Buzzfeed of little kids losing their stuffed animals on trips and getting it back weeks later with incredible photos of the beloved toy doing all the things you'd be doing if you were on vacation. It's been a year now and my monkey still hasn't returned.

A couple in Roscoe had a little better luck with their moose gnome. It went missing 6 months ago and it was just returned this morning with a cute, yet creepy note.

Surely it was a harmless prank, but what has this person been doing with the gnome for the last six months? You don't just keep something that long without doing something with it.

I'm hoping that photos of moose gnome adventures are soon to follow. Until then, would the moose gnome kidnapper please reveal yourself?
