May 15th is a pretty big holiday. It's chocolate chip day. This recipe is the perfect way to celebrate, I give you Dark Chocolate Chip Pie.

This recipe is a little twist on this Nestle pie.

  • Step 1. Go to the store and buy a pre-made graham cracker crust. You can make your own if you want  if you have graham crackers on hand. I didn't have any, and the pre-made ones are just too inexpensive to pass them up.
  • Step 2. Buy a bag of dark chocolate chips and 2 cups of whipping cream. Aside from that, all you need is a teaspoon of vanilla and 2 teaspoons of powdered sugar.
  • Step 3. Melt your chocolate chips and 3/4 cup whipping cream in the microwave for about a minute. Stir it up! Make sure all of the chips are melted into the cream, slow and steady on this one. Let is sit to room temperature.
  • Step 4. Take the remaining whipping cream and beat it with the vanilla and powdered sugar. Whip it up until it looks like whipped cream!
  • Step 5. Fold the the whipped cream into the room temp chocolate. You can save some for decorating if you would like, I was running low on cream so I decided to decorate with strawberries instead.

That is it. Let it sit in the fridge. I PROMISE, you will love this and so will anyone you share it with. I even sent one home with my sister-in-law and already got a request for another. Happy Chocolate Chip Day!
