As Officer Jaimie Cox is laid to rest this weekend, the time will soon come for the men and women who serve and protect the city of Rockford to consider getting their own kind of rest.

After a long week of what I'm sure was filled stress, anxiety and sleepless nights, they could all use one hour of time to rest, relax and clear their minds. And one of the best places to do that? A yoga studio.

Nancy Enke, with Nspired Yoga, (voted What Rocks Best Yoga/Pilates) is offering free yoga classes to active members of the Rockford Police Department at her studios in Rockford and Roscoe.

Starting now through the end of the year, any active member of the department is welcome to attend any class on the schedule; all they need to do is mention Officer Jaimie Cox and they will be welcomed into the class.

Nancy says, "Yoga studies have proven that a regular yoga practice is beneficial for lowering stress levels;" adding, "It would be my honor to serve our law enforcement community in this small way."

More information can be found at RockfordYoga.com or you can call Nancy at 779-200-2480.

Thank you, Nancy.
