That's not the only scam going around on Facebook either.

NBC 5 in Chicago is reporting a massively popular post on Facebook called the "Secret Sister Gift Exchange" is an illegal scam.

The same goes for a similar post called the "Wine Exchange."

The Better Business Bureau says "The exchange has been circulating on social media sites and claims that participants will receive up to 36 gifts in exchange for sending one gift valued at $10."

The scam works like this, Facebook users are asked to get it on the gift exchange where they will then receive the information on where to send the gifts with the promise of receiving 36 in return.

The catch is "you need to disclose your personal information, such as your home address." thus making you a link in the chain or a part of the pyramid.

It's been said before and it can't be said enough, especially during the holidays, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Sadly, you can file the "Secret Sister Gift Exchange" as "too good to be true."
