There aren't even any cheese fries.

When I learned yesterday that Portillo's was debuting a subscription service, I thought, this is a game changer.

But... it's really not.

My dream of Portillo's delivering me a multitude of chopped salads (with no cheese) and cheese fries throughout the entire year was crushed when I read the details of this new subscription service.

'Portillo's 365' costs exactly $365, which includes 2-day shipping. That's not bad for a whole year of food. But here's where my issues begin.

The "whole year" really means half a year, because you're getting a shipment every other month: January, March, May, July, September and November.

Unfortunately, you don't get to pick what you get, it's all outlined for you and there are no cheese fries to be found.

Portillo's website lists the following as the subscription foods:

No cheese fries, no chopped salad and you have to frost your own cake. You tried Portillo's, but I'm not sure this is a win.
