Portillo’s Finally Opened in Wisconsin and the Internet Freaked Out

We've been patiently waiting for Portillo's to open in Wisconsin, and guys... it's open!

Not that we Rockfordians need to go to Wisconsin for cheese fries, a hot dog and a chopped salad, thankfully we got our own Portillo's a little over a year ago, but for our friends up North, THIS IS HUGE.

Plus, you know you love Wisconsin, and now there's another reason to plan a road trip.

When you plan your road trip, make sure you stop in Brookfield. Every time I wrote about the Wisconsin Portillo's, I kept thinking, I swear I know where Brookfield is. Turns out my friend Amy lives a few minutes away, so I was kind of right. It's about 10 miles West of Miller Park.

Amy sent me a snap of her Portillo's today, which made me wonder how many other excited Wisconsinites were posting about their recently opened Portillo's. All the people are posting. All of them. Portillo's basically broke the Milwaukee area Internet.
