Project Love is collecting plastic grocery bags that they will then weave into mats for sleeping.

'Project Love' is a group effort out of Rockford's Wellness Center on Fincham Drive. The group comes together every February to give back to the community. This year they are working on making sleeping mats for the area homeless population using the plastic grocery bags that you probably have stuffed somewhere in your home. The bags are lightweight, resistant to most elements outdoors, they can be rolled up and can be easily carried away.

Please empty your house of all the plastic grocery bags and bring them to the Rockford Wellness Center at 6019 Fincham Drive through February 28. See more on how you can be a part by visiting Project Love's Facebook event page.
