This week's pet of the week is two adorable; playful puppies with a very unique look.

It was a pretty exciting weekend at the James' household last week. Our dog Pip turned five years old. We were so fortunate that the animal shelter that Pip came from had Pip's actual birthday, especially since we didn't directly adopt him from the shelter. Pip belonged to a woman who got him for companionship after her husband passed away; unfortunately she died not too long after. Her name was Diane and before she passed away, she mentioned that the one thing she wanted was for me and my family to take Pip; without hesitation, we said "yes."

All of the animals at Noah's Ark come to them under extraordinary and sometimes very unfortunate circumstances. Many of them don't even have a birthday because they were found as a stray or have been abandoned. It's up to you to give them a new birthday - they're adoption day.

Shortly after we filmed this video, Seahawk was adopted; let's help find his brother, Dodger, a forever home.

If you'd like to adopt Dodger, please visit or call Noah’s Ark 815-962-2767, 111 North First Street in Rockford.

Update: Thank you for your support, both puppies have been adopted.
