Due to all of the rainy weather we've been experiencing over the last few weeks many residents have discovered a new problem with their air-conditioning units.

One local plumbing, heating and pest control company, according to a recent story at wifr.com, is noticing this growing problem.

During these storms, many critters like; mice, chipmunks and other rodents are seeking shelter inside central a/c units. Often times these rodents are building nests inside the unit and the babies start chewing on wires which could cause the system to short out.

It's a good idea to take a look inside your a/c unit now because you could be looking at a very expensive unit replacement if it shorts out.
