Rockford Among ‘Best U.S. Cities Mobile Performance’ List

Rockford was ranked near the top of the list of best U.S. cities for mobile performance according to Root Metrics.

Having a mobile phone that works is as important nowadays as having a car that runs properly. For those of us that live in the Rockford area, our mobile performance runs like a super charged race car.

Root Metrics looked at data from four different networks, (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, & T-Mobile) across five separate categories. The categories analyzed were call, text, data, reliability, and speed.

Rockford ranked #1 in the speed category, 4th in calls, 7th in texts, 20th in data, and 37th in reliability.

Rockford was also the smallest city surveyed. Despite that, Rockford ranked 4th out of 125 cities in overall performance; while Chicago ranked #1 in the same category.
