Let me ask you something. Is there a Bermuda Triangle or some sort of black hole for socks? Seriously, where do they go? I did laundry today and there were three socks that were left without it's sole mate; (see what I did there?) and of course, they're the brand new socks that I just bought last week. It seems to happen every time I do laundry. Sometimes, I like to imagine that all the lost socks are hanging out with my lost tubes of chapsticks on an island somewhere.

This problem could easily be solved if I just had Socktabs; they're like little cuff links for your socks. Tracie and Glen Burress, of Rockford, came up with Socktabs after becoming tired of matching and searching for socks that eventually ended up getting replaced with new socks that were just going to get lost again. Hey, that sounds familiar.

After winning the $5,000 prize for the Stateline FastPitch competition last year, the couple got the opportunity to pitch their product to the panel of entrepreneurs on the hit ABC show, Shark Tank; now that episode will finally be aired this Friday, November 20th at 7 p.m. There will also be a view party at Giovanni's.

The Burress' aren't allowed to talk about what happened on the show until after it airs, but that doesn't mean that you have to wait that long to get yourself some Socktabs. You can currently buy them locally at Crimson Ridge, Porch, B Jones Boutique and Tom Harmer Sporting Goods.
