There's something special about a Dairy Queen cone, it's even more special when it's free.

Whenever my parents wanted to take us out for ice cream when I was little, there was always an argument.

My brother, Michael, always wanted 'hard ice cream,' and I always wanted, 'soft ice cream.'

Those were pretty much keywords for Baskin Robbins and Dairy Queen.

As an adult I've learned to appreciate both densities, but there's something about that swirl on top of a Dairy Queen cone that always draws me in.

It draws me in even more when it's free.

To celebrate the beginning of Spring, Dairy Queen is offering customers one of those 'soft' ice cream cones for the wonderful price of nothing.

It's all going down on Monday, March 20. Each customer can get a small vanilla cone for free, while DQ collects donations for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
