Rockford IceHogs 2016/2017 Schedule Has Been Released

The Ice Hogs new schedule was released on Monday (8/22). The season opener is just over a month away.

As the IceHogs get set to start their 18th season in Rockford, here's some exciting news about the upcoming season:

• 38 games will be played on home ice
• 27 of those 38 home games will be on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday

The first game of the season will be against the Calder Cup Champion Cleveland Monsters on October 14th in Cleveland, according to wrex.com.

The first home game of the 2016/2017 season will be against the Milwaukee Admirals on October 22nd.
