When you hear nothing but bad news about the city that we live in, here is some good stuff that you won't see anywhere else.

According to Wallet Hub, they examined "various demo graphical stats for 366 of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. The data set includes simple metrics such as age, gender and income as well as more complex metrics such as household makeup and housing tenure."

Nashville, TN ranked #1. Rockford landed at #55, out of 366 U.S. cities.

What put Rockford there? Our "socio-demographic rank."

Trailing only Kansas City, MO, Wallet Hub factored age, gender, race, household makeup, family relationship, percentage of foreign born population, and percentage of people with health insurance and came up with a number.

That put Rockford in the #2 spot. Put all those together and it's clear that we live in one of the most socially diverse cities in the U.S.
