You know we get snow in Rockford, but did you know we get that much snow?

According to Niche, Rockford is the 50th snowiest city in America.

Using a 30 year average, Rockford gets about 34' of snow per season.

After the 3-4 inches of snow we got in the past few days, coupled with what we got in November, we could be looking at least a few more feet of snow before we are through the winter.

If Farmer's Almanac is to be believed, we could very well hit our average.

With snow being called for just about every week through February, the 34" average could be topped this season.

After the near 57" of snow we received in 2013-14, there seems to be a really good chance we hit the mark.

Chicago also made the list of snowiest cities in America, with an average of 34.7" per season.

Madison, WI did too. Madison ranked in the top 25 of snowiest cities averaging 44" per winter.
