This weekend I had the fun of helping out at a glowingly beautiful Jack O Lantern Event in Nashville.

I think Rockford needs an event just like this.

It's a fun festive event where you get to walk a trail and see giant displays of hand carved pumpkins. Some of the pumpkins are real some are made of foam but all are hand crafted by professional artists and lite up the trail.

You'll see all kinds of themes as you walk the path from a circus, to a flower garden with caterpillars and bumble bee pumpkin creations to dinosaurs and more.

Take a look at the photos I took that I posted on our Instagram page.

This kind of reminds me of the Festival of Lights at Sinnissippi Park the Rockford Park District puts on every year, but instead of driving through you get to walk through all the lighted and musical pumpkin displays.

Do you agree Rockford needs something like this?
I think so.
