Rockford Parents Share The Pros & Cons of Back To School

Can you believe it's about that time again? School starts for my daughter next week. She will be in 7th grade. Time goes way too fast.

I have mixed emotions about school starting. I was having a conversation with my girlfriend and a few of her friends the other day and we were talking about all the pros and cons of school starting.

What are you most looking forward to, or dreading about your kids being back to school?

This is what we came up with.

The Pros & Cons of Back To School...

PROS

Peace and quiet in the house for 6 straight hours.

Time to get all of the cleaning, laundry, and yardwork done without little sad faces looking at you just wanting you to play with them.

Earlier bedtime means extra down time for you at night to binge watch your latest Netflix addiction.

Not hearing "I'm bored" every 5 minutes.

More free time for you to do whatever you want. Lunch dates, pedicures, gym time, book club.

Less sibling fights

No more paying for Summer camp/daycare

CONS

It means Summer is officially over

Waking up early every morning (this one never stops for me)

Homework

Packing lunches

Missing your kids

More homework

Having to be organized all the time
