Since most of the world has been in quarantine, we've resorted to playing tons of video games.

I mean, it's a great way to pass the time. For me, I love them, I'm just not any good at playing video games.

So while I'm pretty sure if I was to get in on a Madden NFL Football video game tournament, I'd get beat in the first round.

However, if you think you've got the goods when it comes to Madden, maybe the Rockford Park District's eSports League Madden Tournament is for you.

The cost is $15 per player and there are two different age divisions for kids between ages 8 and 15 and the other for folks 16 and up.

The tournament is exclusively on the PlayStation 4 and kicks off on Saturday, January 30 with each player guaranteed at least three games. The top players will then advance to the single-elimination tournament held on Saturday, February 6.

Players must supply their own copy of Madden NFL 21, but the winner of the tournament gets hooked up with a set of wireless gaming headphones, a plaque commemorating the win, and most importantly bragging rights.

It would be excellent if the tournament would also be held on the XBOX or at least come with a separate division for those that don't have a PlayStation.

Register NOW. The deadline is Friday, January 22 at 6 p.m.
