Rockford Police Provide Free Lunch at Texas Roadhouse This Friday

I know it's only Tuesday but there's a good chance that you're already looking ahead to the weekend, who doesn't when they know that it's also pay day?

This Friday, instead of spending some of your hard earned cash on lunch out with co-workers, you can have free lunch with the Rockford Police Department and Texas Roadhouse.

According to WREX, officers and RPD staff will be at the Texas Roadhouse in Rockford serving up free pulled pork sandwiches, corn and freshly-baked bread from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All they ask is that you give your service men and women in uniform a nice; big tip as your way to say "thank you" for keeping our community safe and to help support the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

Your tax deductible donation will go straight to Special Olympics Illinois and the pulled pork sandwiches will go straight to your belly.
