Toilets, Walmarts, creeping in your chicken nuggets; these are just some of the strange places you've seen and caught your precious Pokemon. They're everywhere. But aside from bumps, bruises, and in some cases fender benders - what exactly are you getting out of playing this game? Maybe some cheap thrills and a not so cheap smartphone bill because you've used up all your data.

What if you could learn something while you're out catching Eevee and Charmander? The Rockford Public Library is looking to add a little culture to your monster catching experience by creating a guided tour to educate people about local art and landmarks of downtown Rockford.

According to WREX, The Pokemon Go Downtown event will be held August 4th from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Players who attend can expect a 1.6 kilometer walking tour that includes several Pokestops; the event is for all ages but kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 16.

For more information you can call the library, 815-965-7606, and speak to Sarah Stumpf.
