Rockford Restaurant Makes 'Best Pizza In Illinois' List

A new list hit the web today showing that good pizza can be made outside of the Chicago city limits. One of the restaurants that made the cut is right here in Rockford!

Popular list-making website, Thrillist came up with the "19 Best Pizza Places In The Entire State of Illinois."

While there were the usual suspects on any list that talks about pizza in Illinois, (Lou Malnati's, Giordano's, etc.) it was great to see Lino's get noticed.

I have been in the Rockford area since 1999 and Lino's has been, without a doubt, my favorite pizza joint in town.

How does Thrillist feel about Lino's? This is what they said:

Lino's has been a Rockford fixture for over four decades. And for good reason. Rockford natives swear by the thin crust pizzas, and the décor is second-to-none -- why eat pizza at home when you can go to Lino’s and dine next to a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa?"

Can't agree more! They also said the pizza to order at Lino's is "double sausage."
