Rockford School Bus Video Shows the Moment it Was Hit With Gunfire

You probably do this already, but maybe do it a little longer and a little tighter each morning from now on- it's hugging your kids before they get on the school bus.

Sure, the trip from the end of your driveway to the school's curbside might be a short one, but anything can happen in a matter of minutes.

Parents of kids who go to school at West Middle School are all to familiar with the possibility of tragedy striking at any second. A week ago, 15-25 kids were on a school bus near the intersection of 5th Avenue and 5th Street when it was hit by gunfire.

WREX has obtained footage of the exact moment the RPS 205 bus was hit.
