Rockford Single Moms Event Making Mother’s Day Even Better

Mother's Day weekend is filled with wonderful opportunities to enjoy time with your children, but there's a little something extra special at this event.

Too many times in this life we find ourselves disappointed that nothing good happened to us. We spend so much time looking the BIG stuff that we miss all the little joys. Nobody knows how to appreciate the small joys like a single parent. And no place knows how to deliver the joy like my church, City First.

On Saturday, May 13 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., City First Church at 5950 Spring Creek Rd. in Rockford is meeting a tangible need in our community by offering a limited amount of free oil changes for single moms.There are still spots left so if you are interested, you need to make a reservation first. On Mother's Day, a whole different kind joy. Pastor's Jeremy & Jen DeWeerdt will be delivering a message for moms that cannot be missed.
