The Rockford Park District has converted a trolley into a Christmas express train. It's all part of a special partnership with the Nicholas Conservatory.

Model trains have taken over the landscape of Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens for Christmas. So while the model trains run on the inside, the enchanting All Aglow Express trolley runs outside, according to mystateline.com.

My friend Joy Weyrauch explains what you experience during your ride aboard the All Aglow Express, that boards at the Conservatory.

It starts south of our campus and we go to what we call the North Pole. Kids and families can experience the story of the Polar Express being told, while having hot chocolate, a surprise visit by Santa, and just being all together and building family traditions.

The express is operating on Dec 1-2, 8-9, 15-16. Rides times on those days are 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.. For more All Aglow Express info and to buy your tickets to ride, click here.
