It's the most wonderful time of the year. As the song says, there are parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting and loved ones are near; but for the owner of Yolo's Sweets in downtown Rockford, this holiday season could use a little more cheer.

According to Yolo's Sweet's Facebook page, Molly, the owner, had to close her doors due to unforeseen circumstances.

But Molly's not ready to give up on her dream of owning her own bakery and she's asking for our help to keep it alive; a Christmas miracle on 1st Street, if you will.

Molly has created a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising enough funds to secure a new location, pay for architect plans and various minor expenses. She already has a space in mind and after funding her previous location all on her own, she just needs a little help to get started in a new space.

Can you help?

I spoke with Molly and she has already informed me of how grateful she is for the outpouring of support that she's been getting from the community; it's just really hard right now with it being the holiday season.

Surely you can imagine. If you're unable to make a contribution, no matter how big or small, could you please share?
