I'd be sad too if I got traded from a team that just won the Stanley Cup.

Any Chicago Blackhawks fan knew that this day was coming. Patrick Sharp was making way too much money to continue to stay on with the Hawks and trading him was the only way to help out the team.

So that's what Blackhawks management did, they traded Sharp to the Dallas Stars for a couple of players on July 10.

As a Hawks fan, it was sad to see him go but it didn't really sink in until I saw Sharp put on the green sweater of the Stars.

The same can be said for Sharp. If you look at his face, you can tell he looks surprised and a tad a disappointed. However, he did say all the right things, Sharp said, "It doesn't matter what team I'm playing for, I'm proud to be here. I'm proud to be a Star and my expectations are going to be just as high as they always have."
