The Saved By The Bell pop up diner in Chicago is getting a bit of help by the way of a former show cast member.

Ed Alonzo, who played Max on Saved By The Bell, will appear at the much talked about diner opening in Chicago next month.

Saved By The Max, the diner that was inspired by the 90s TV show, was originally only supposed to have a one month run in Chicago. However, things have changed.

According to NBC Chicago, "the restaurant announced in April that it would be keeping its doors open until the end of August after an overwhelming response in ticket sales."

Adding a former Saved cast member to the mix could potentially push the restaurant into the fall. Who knows.

WGN says, "Ed Alonzo, who played Max on the show, on hand for the first few nights for table side service and magic.  Yes, magic."

There will also be live performances from a band called (you guessed it) The Zack Attack Variety Show, including a TV-Oke night, and 80s vs. 90s night according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Saved By The Max opens on June 1 at 1941 W. North in Wicker Park. Reservations are pretty well sold out but who knows Preppie, you might just get in and experience the magic yourself.
