Say ‘So Long’ to Rockford’s Spring Art Scene with the Sculpture Stroll

After being placed around downtown Rockford back in June 2015, the time has come to say goodbye to 8 of the 9 beautiful sculptures that were part of the Rockford Area Convention and Visitor Bureau's Forest City Beautiful initiative.

They were originally supposed to be removed last May but because there was such a huge response to the unique and eclectic pieces, the RACVB was able to secure them until May 2017.

That doesn't give you much time to see them if you haven't already or appreciate them for a second or third time; and now, you can show the artists who created these sculptures your appreciation with a "love note."

Community Art Cart has put together four mini carts with writing materials for you to create a "thank you" message for the artists.

The sign says,

Write a love note...as a farewell to the downtown sculptures and a thank you to the artists. Writing materials are provided in the bottom box.

Drop your note in the top box.

Include your contact info for a chance to win a Rockford prize pack.

Take a tour of all 8 sculptures. Grab a map and enjoy your sculpture stroll.
