In what comes as a big surprise to organizations like the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois and the Salvation Army, Schnucks has decided to ban all solicitors from it's stores. According to WIFR,  a spokesperson from Schnucks says they're trying to give their guests a more pleasant and convenient shopping experience.

Will this affect your shopping habits with Schnucks? I can see their point, some customers do feel uncomfortable walking into a store and being asked to give organizations money if they don't have any; specifically cash. I speak from personal experience that I've often skipped out on going into a store because I felt awkward being approached by someone asking for money when I didn't have the means; it's not that I don't support your cause, I just don't have a dollar, or fifty cents even, to contribute. Then I feel bad.

However, if you feel pretty strongly about supporting the Girl Scouts or the Salvation Army, you will find other ways or other places to support them. With that said, if you can tell me where those Girl Scouts plan on setting up shop next, I want to be the first one to know so I can be the first in line to get my cookies.  Same with the Salvation Army.
