Hands down, "The Blacklist" on NBC was my favorite show on network television. Sesaon two premiers Monday, Spetember 22nd. This week, the producers gave us a casting surprise.

What do you do when you've got the show everyone is talking about and a star with three Emmys. How do you crank it up a notch? Who do you add to the cast that will keep us all talking? You could've asked me that question 100 times and I never would've come up this!

Yes, that would be Pee Wee herman, whose real name is Paul Reubens. According to Entertainment Weekly, he'll be playing 'Mr. Vargas', whose quote...

a dapper, finicky 'muscle' who handles delicate situations in the criminal underworld,

One producer said, "I'd say he's going to shake things up a bit." Mr. Vargas will make his first appearance in episode three.

Since this casting move may bring some 'Blacklist Newbies' to the table (TV) here's a little background on the show. James Spader (one of my favorite actors) play Raymond Reddington and I let this first scene for episode one explain his character.

This three-video playlist will give you some more background so you're all good to go for Season 2.

[UPDATE] Netflix just nabbed the rights to stream season one for $2 million per episode. You can start binge watching next weekend!
