I woke up this morning and the first thing I saw as I was making my coffee was snow. I heard it was coming, but nothing beats the feeling when it finally arrives.

I had heard we were maybe going to get a few inches, but it hadn't really registered yet. Now I have mixed emotions about snow. On one hand, seeing it on the ground makes it feel like Christmas. And I love me some Christmas. In fact, those years when there isn't any snow on the ground, it doesn't really seem like Christmas. On the other hand, snow means shoveling the driveway, slick roads, and dealing with people who forgot how to drive in it (don't be one of those people).

There are a few things that I'm excited about that come along with the snow on the ground. My daughter is 11 and still loves to play in the snow. Sadly, I know that these years are probably coming to an end. Soon she will be a teenager, and instead of being excited to play in the snow with her, I will be worrying about her driving in it. But for now, I love seeing her eyes light up when I tell her we can go play in the snow. We go sledding, build snowmen, have snowball fights, and make snow angels. We have the best time. And the weather is perfect for it today. It's not negative 50 degrees yet and the wind isn't making your face hurt. Today was prime weather to get outside and engage in some fun snow activities with your kids. And it was Sunday. Sunday Funday to be exact.
