Just in time for Mother's Day, it seems Selena Gomez's relationship with her mom is in a much better place these days.

"Selena’s focus right now is herself, 100 percent. Right now it’s working for her. She’s got new music coming out, she’s been working on some brand campaigns, and most significantly, she’s on better terms with her mother," a source told Entertainment Tonight, contributing Gomez's better relationship with mom Mandy Teefey to the pop star's breakup with Justin Bieber.

"Now that he's out of the picture, Selena and her mom are on better terms. They've even collaborated on some 13 Reasons Why stuff," the source explained.

But it turns out Gomez's mom had been sick of her daughter's same old love with the Canadian pop artist for quite some time. Earlier this year, Teefey spoke out about the relationship between the two singers, telling GossipCop that she was "not happy" about her daughter dating Bieber again.

"Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy," Teefey added. "She is 25 years old and knows what is at stake with her health. I do not control her the way it has been portrayed. Selena is an adult and can make her own choices."

As for Gomez and Bieber's relationship, the two don't currently have any "bad blood" between them, the source added.

"They will always be incredibly important to each other, but they both know that right now Selena doesn’t have it in her to be in a serious relationship — especially one that causes stress and drama in her life," they said.
