Seth Meyers Slams Trump During Northwestern Commencement Speech
Late Night host, Seth Meyers spoke at Northwestern's commencement this past Friday. While he was there, he jabbed at Presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
Meyers, a 1996 Northwestern graduate, covered many topics including his new honorary title (Doctor of Arts) and remembering the celebrity who spoke during his own commencement (Robert Redford.)
Meyers, on the heels of his demands for Donald Trump to drop out of the presidential race, managed to take him to task during the speech too.
Meyers said "My favorite inspirational quote came from Donald Trump. Who said to the graduates of Trump University, 'If you want your money back, you're gonna have to sue me, you losers.'"
Red Eye Chicago caught up with some in attendance, "'I like that he didn't try to be too wise, like a typical commencement speech,' said Meagher, 25, who grew up in Paris. 'I think it was a good dose of reality, balanced with humor. Not too much politics, which was good. It was very tastefully done.'"
